Our prices are low because donations of the items we’re selling make it possible. That’s why our supporters, from artists to musicians, have donated their wares to us to sell. They want us to be able to give you a good enough deal to encourage you to buy from us. That way every cent of your purchase supports Tapestry Institute in its work of changing the way the world learns, knows about, and responds to nature — through books like our new wildfire reflection “Burning Through the Roots,” blogs, research, and education programs such as those of the Horse-Human Relationship Program. Our mission drives the engine that powers every aspect of environmental and ecological awareness and practice.

Note: Notecards, posters, mugs, mousepads, and other items that feature artwork by Tapestry’s resident artist Carol Francisco are available at the online store Zazzle. This permits us to offer her work to the public without a high investment overhead. However, it means that for these items only, just a portion of your purchase price supports Tapestry. A significant percentage of the cost shown pays for the base materials (e.g., cloth or paper, ink), the printing process, and Zazzle’s own overhead. This is the most inexpensive way for us to make Carol’s work available to the public.
