Riding Lesson Locations
Tapestry is located on a ranch in Calhan, Colorado, 35 miles east of the city of Colorado Springs. We have acres of open space for riding lessons and a number of horses for use in lessons or biomechanical analysis rides. If you sign up for lessons at our ranch, we’ll send you complete driving directions and a map. But it’s easy to find us; we’re just a hop, skip, and a jump from Highway 24!
Of course, we also offer our Women and Horses Riding Lessons at your own barn or stable, using your own horse. You must live in the Colorado Front Range and High Plains region to qualify for this service, in the area roughly bounded by Fort Collins to the north, Pueblo to the south, and Limon to the east. Riders who live beyond a 35-mile radius of Calhan may be required to schedule lessons on the same day as other lesson-takers in the same area or to pay an additional travel fee to cover gas costs.
Retreat Locations
Retreats are held at your location, whether it’s the barn where you and your friends stable your horses, the public hall where your breed club meets once a month, or the restaurant where your business group holds social events. Any rental fee required for the space must be pre-arranged and covered by your group, not by Tapestry. We prefer a venue with moveable (not fixed) seating and at least a few tables, but we can work almost anywhere as long as you discuss your site details with us in advance to help us plan how to best use the space effectively. Your group can keep the retreat private (e.g., for barn members only) or open it to the public, your choice. If it’s public, we’ll help you publicize it on our website. To discuss possible meeting places for your group’s retreat, email or call (719-347-3090) Anne to discuss what we need and the sort of space that will give you the best experience. But be advised that “fancy” isn’t a requirement: a group of interested horsewomen IS. If you provide that, we can handle the rest.
