This article is the first in a series of papers published by Harrison John Adams (Choctaw), Chinese name Qiu Lisen 邱里森, style name Boye 伯野, Dharma name Zhenru 眞如. He is a scholar of Traditional and Classical Asian Cultural Studies. We are publishing his work on the Daodejing, of which this is a part, because this famous and ancient classic text specifically explores the relationship between humans and the natural world. An English summary of the paper is presented at its beginning though the main body of text is in Chinese. The Chinese language version is downloadable as a PDF, here.
